Water temperature has a direct bearing on fish metabolism. The warmer the water, the faster the metabolism and need for food. Here is a feeding breakdown based on temperature:
- Use Max Color or Max Growth and Color when water temperatures are over 50ºF (10ºC).
- Use Cold Water Food when water temperatures drops below 50ºF. Stop feeding all together when water temperatures fall below 39ºF (4ºC).
- Resume feeding when water temperatures rise again to 39ºF and above.
